In general, the indoor environments to which humans are exposed tend towards being increasingly homogenized. The result is that humans are becoming adapted to a very narrow band of conditions. Such specialization in adaptation needs to be examined in terms of sustainability over the longer term and the overall adaptability of the human species. This document looks at thermal design that understands thermal comfort ranges, but also that understands the importance of thermally ˜stimulating' environments.
