Shelter Centre provided an update on the revision process of 'Shelter after Disaster: Guidelines for Assistance' (UNDRO, 1982). The summary included details of the current structure of the revised guidelines, a brief look at the scope of each chapter, and the new principles for shelter programmes following natural disasters. This was followed by two of the toolkit contributors, Cynthia Burton and Mark Pelling, presenting their toolkits on 'Assessing damage, needs and resources of the affected population' and 'Community participation' respectively.
