Every year vulnerable communities across the country prepare themselves for the risk and reality of devastating floods of the type that affected 20 million people in 2010. Realising that the country will continue to be plagued by multiple hazards, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Pakistan is stepping up to develop and implement an integrated risk management system to increase resilience and promote economic development.
