The 3rd Generation family shelter is the latest phase of ongoing Shelter Centre exploration of emergency family shelter. The extruded aluminium structure develops an idea of Wolfgang Neumann, former UNHCR senior physical planner, for a frame tent. The structure presented is the graduation work of Henry Travers, one of our volunteers last summer, who recently graduated in Engineering with this project.
This summer Shelter Centre will manage a team of volunteers, who will develop the covering for the structure, to be reviewed at the next Shelter Meeting.
