SUD-Net Workshop, 17?19 February 2009, Cape Town. This report summarizes the presentations and discussions held at the SUD-Net Africa workshop which mainly focused on education for sustainable urban development and addressed the huge climate change adaptation needs and a lack of educated urban specialists in Africa. The overall purpose of the workshop was to bridge the gap between teaching, research and practice through creating innovative learning systems in order to bring formal educational development opportunities to key urban stakeholders.
