Following Typhoon Haiyan, CRS has been working closely with the affected communities and local government to offer the most appropriate and relevant shelter and settlement assistance to each households in urban and rural areas of Leyte and Samar. CRS would like to share insights of how complex but rewarding this process can be and to explore if this type of flexibile response which offers real choice at a household level can become part of how we offer shelter assistance in the future.
