At the request of the Government of Pakistan (GoP), a team of experts led by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the World Bank (WB) conducted a preliminary Damage and Needs Assessment (DNA) of the districts of Buner, Lower and Upper Dir, Shangla, and Swat in the North West Frontier Province (NWFP) along with two tribal agencies of Bajaur and Mohmand in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) of Pakistan. The DNA was carried out in close coordination with the government, development partners, civil society, and other stakeholders active in the affected area
