The Red Cross Movement has responded to meeting the shelter needs following many of natural disasters and in doing so has developed a range of transitional shelter solutions for different contexts which have been extensively field tested through use. To minimise the time required after a disaster informing on scheme designs, specifications and bills of quantities to speed-up the procurement process, the IFRC has started to capture, document and analysis 8 alternative transitional shelters .
