Tom Corsellis of Shelter Centre introduced Joseph Ashmore and Tim Foster, authors of the first complete draft of 'Selecting NFIs for Shelter' to officially launch the booklet. They spoke of how the response to the 2005 earthquake in Pakistan was seriously hampered by difficulty in specifying blankets appropriate to the climate and how these guidelines grew from that humanitarian need.
