Issam Mahmoud Miqdadi, UNRWA, gave a presentation on assessing
post-conflict building damage and the various types of damage a
building might sustain. He also discussed considerations for knocking
down or repairing a building, and emphasised the need for expert
assessment. Lastly, he urged the humanitarian community to interact
more with UNRWA and take advantage of their 60 years of experience in
post-conflict reconstruction.
