The information compiled in this document is drawn from events organized by Governments, international organizations and other partners in the context of the preparation of the WCDR. The recommendations and outputs of these events contribute to the preparations of the WCDR, as well as to the future implementation of its outcomes. For each event, a summary of relevant recommendations is provided, along with a source (contact or webpage) for further information. Many events have taken place throughout 2003 and 2004 on diverse subjects, sectors and regions related to reducing the risk related natural hazards.
