This document introduces the history and sources of Nigeria Labour Law. The basic context of Labour Law is examined to know its nature. One of the major purposes of labour law is to regulate the relationship between an employer and an employee. By this, the common law and statute have established that an employer is under an obligation to ensure the safety and security of his employee.
