Workshop proceedings: Park Village Hotel Resort, Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Nepal, November 6-7, 2008. This report on the proceedings of a workshop conducted as part of a pilot application in Metro Manila and Kathmandu, "Mainstreaming Disaster Risk Reduction in Megacities", reviews the land use planning system and practice in KMC, provides an overview of the Planning Project and its objectives, and presents an earthquake scenario study that facilitates the development of a framework for partnership. Finally, it drafts a proposed workplan, identifies project activities, roles and responsibilities of concerned agencies, and determines resources needed to undertake the activities.
