This study jointly settled by th Disaster Management Division, the Department of Local Governance, the Ministry of Home & Cultural Affairs and the Royal Government of Bhutan deals with Disaster Risk Reduction in Bhutan. It proposes a global view of what hazards strikes Bhutan then what are the stakes in term of disaster reduction. These areat 3 levels : the national level, the Dzongkhag level (comitee level) and the Dungkhag, the Gewog and Thromde levels (municipal level).
The paper also highlights the key objectives of implementing a disaster risk management frameworkin the country like for crops, forest fires or river's embankment.
