Jennifer Duyne from the World Bank’s drafting team presents the ‘Handbook for Post-Disaster Housing and Community Reconstruction’ its main objectives, its contents and why the World Bank feels there is a need for such a Handbook. Among other things the Handbook aims to assist Bank staff engaged in large-scale post-disaster housing reconstruction programs, to identify emerging good practice and to harmonize thinking with others working in the housing and community reconstruction field (bilateral agencies, NGOs).
