The author approached 110 respondents from four identified groups: NGOs and international NGOs
specializing in addressing gender-based violence in Pakistan (40 respondents); gender experts and other
key informants in the public sector, international NGOs, UN and the donor community (15
respondents), Pakistani print and electronic media professionals (25 respondents), and experts on gender,
women, human rights, law and legal aid, media advocacy, research and management, etc. (30 respondents).
The aim was to achieve responses from at least 25 ideal respondents in 18 days, with a pre-calculated
risk of less than 50 percent responses.
