Mr. Sujoy Chaudhury, programme manager of GOAL India, presented remotely the situation in Sundarbams region of India, which is frequently affected by natural disaster, inaccessible and offers limited access to resources, making its populations some of the very poorest in the world.

Following a tidal surge in 2007, GOAL piloted an intervention to build disaster resistant houses for the poorest of the poor, and the presentation describes the types of interventions that GOAL introduced in Sunderbans.
