Nutrition at the World Food Programme: Programming for Nutrition-Specific Interventions

The primary intent of this booklet is to assist in the
design of nutrition-specific programmes in WFP
country offices, but may also serve as a resource for
training or advocacy activities. The following
sections offer introductions to acute malnutrition,
chronic malnutrition and micronutrient deficiencies
and summarize evidence around WFP’s nutritionspecific
interventions. The booklet also includes
information to support WFP staff in applying the
current evidence base to programme design,
implementation, monitoring and evaluation
activities.
