The speaker provided background information on the first phase of this project funded by OCHA, which resulted in the launch of the Timber Scoping Study. The final guide on the use of timber in emergencies will be published by the end of 2007 as phase two of this project. This will be a collaboration between OCHA and IFRC.
Phase one and phase two of the project will be led by Joseph Ashmore and Jon Fowler.
