Thiscase study submitted by the Asian Disaster Preparedness Centerto the Food Agricultural Organization deals with natural calamities in the Philippines. It also analyses the disaster risk management system in the country by showing the organization at National level (The National Disaster Risk Management System) and at local level (The Municipal Disaster Coordinating Council). The populations' risk perception analysed at the end of the caseshowsthe importance to sustain the disaster management development in the Philippines.
