To contribute to developing a clearer understanding of the practical steps needed to advance a rights-based approach for housing, and to facilitate coordination between stakeholders involved in housing rights activities, a meeting was convened in Bangkok in 2004. Two main panels covered (i) actions by government and civil society and (ii) innovative practices. Four groups emerging from these panels covered (i) access to housing resources, (ii) access to legal and other remedies, (iii) homelessness, and (iv) security of tenure and forced evictions. Recommendations, an agenda, and a list of participants are provided.
