Mr. Nuno Nunes from the International Organization for Migrations presented the IOM Transitional Shelter Programme, which aims to provide 9000 shelters to internally displaced populations (IPDs) affected by the January 2010 earthquake in Haiti.

He presented the Shelter Site Profiles of Morne Lazarre, Mangeoire and Carrefour Feuilles, and the Activities of Community Improvement for:

  • Retaining Walls
  • Rubble Removal
  • Demolition of Buildings
  • Drainage Improvement
  • Toilet Construction and Repair

The programme adopts an integrated approach, and it is funded by ERRF, Japan, Sida, USAID and Community Cjest of Korea (CCK)
