Shifting operational gearsto address the heightened and diversified movementcomplexities in Maguindanao, North Cotabato and SultanKudarat, IOM's multi-sectoral emergency response activitieshave logically and appropriately evolved and expandedfrom IDP support to overall mobile and vulnerablepopulation (MVP) assistance. Mindful of the complexitiesand uncertainties that characterize the current conditionson the ground, IOM continues to improve and modifyits strategies to adapt and effectively address the needsof affected populations. IOM is currently carrying outactivities towards the effective provision of humanitarianassistance to MVPs, inclusive of IDPs, host families, and host communities, through regular mapping ofmovements, assessing and addressing continuinghumanitarian needs.
